We are now in week 8 of our incredible journey alongside our friends from Seven Homes, Inc., and we are continually inspired by the dedication and resilience of everyone involved. Together, we are witnessing many new individuals stepping up to begin their journey as foster parents, and let us tell you—it’s a beautiful, albeit challenging, path.
The past few weeks have been filled with learning and growth, as we watch them dive deep into the 10 weeks of MAPP foster care licensing classes. It’s no easy feat, but the commitment shown by everyone in our group is nothing short of remarkable. Each session has reinforced the importance of the work we are doing to support them and the children they will soon bring into their homes.
They will soon open their homes and hearts to children who have endured unimaginable trauma—often for years. These kids will get stability, love, and the chance to heal in a nurturing environment. Each small step we take brings us closer to giving them the the healing and dreams they need and deserve.
